Douglas Scott

On completion of his Electrical Engineering Technologist degree at BCIT in Vancouver B.C. and working for International Submarine Engineering for a short period Doug decided to broaden his horizons and took a job in the North Sea operating ROVs for SubSea. Since this time he has been operating ROVs around the world, although primarily in the North Sea, for various companies, while pursuing his passion for mountains and travel.

Currently dividing his time between Verbier and Basel, Switzerland, he has been able to use the time off from contracts to travel and study. Recent trips have taking him from the mountains of China and India to Patagonia and onto the Antarctic where he sailed a tall ship from Ushuia to the Antarctic and back.

He is also enrolled in a Masters program studying Environmental Decision making while now bringing his travels closer to home and exploring European biking and climbing areas.

Primarily involved with construction projects he has a broad base of knowledge and experience in all aspects of ROV construction work and survey work.
